Cherith Summers has worked in contemporary art since 2013, having spent time at Christie’s and at the Estate of Francis Bacon, and is an art advisor and art historian. Professionally, Cherith advises clients on Post-War, contemporary and emerging art, and Modern British pictures. Cherith focusses her academic research on the impact of émigré and female gallerists on art history, particularly in Post-War Britain. Together with Sue Grayson Ford MBE, Cherith co-curated Brave New Visions at Sotheby's in 2019.
Art tours proposed with Cherith Summers, art advisor
Various tours are offered with Cherith, such as a Mayfair tour. This would be a 2 to 2.5 hour walking tour of the contemporary art galleries in the Mayfair gallery district. Artists to be exhibited include Sarah Crowner at the Simon Lee Gallery and Martha Jungwirth at the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery. This tour can be tailored to the guest's taste. Alternatively, visits to artists' studios or collections such as the Wallace Collection, the Tate Britain Collection or the Tate Modern.
