His training at Sciences Po Paris, with a specialization in the history of political ideas, has not dulled his lively relationship with history. Biographies and tall tales have fed his imagination from an early age, just as tales and legends do for other children. He knows how to share this enchantment with passion, supported by a pleasantly old-fashioned eloquence, which he also teaches. His "deviations" are reserved for gastronomy, for which he knows "genealogy and armorial". This gourmet science, "of all ages, all countries, all conditions and all days", lends flavor and truculence to his words.
Inside the Domaine National du Palais Royal
Let the "midi pétante " ring out and shake the surroundings with the unique experience of firing the little cannon from the Palais Royal. In 1785, a watchmaker who owned a shop in the Palais Royal galleries built a fifteen centimetre cannon that fired an automatic shot every noon, hence the expression "midi pétante ". Although the original work has been stolen, a copy still stands in its original place in the garden of the Palais Royal. The tour of the monument, with commentary by its administrator, ends with the firing of the small cannon.
