Edith Valat, Artistic Director at Sophie Hallette invites guests to discover the brand’s history and the creative process that goes into crafting each season’s iconic tulle and lace collections. For over 130 years, Sophie Hallette has been the reference when it comes to French tulle and laces. These two materials have slowly but surely navigated their way into the world of fashion, and have for long embodied the essence of elegance and glamor. They have been donned by Hollywood legends such as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, and English Royalty alike, when Kate Middleton paired her Alexander McQueen wedding dress with a Sophie Hallette veil.
Behind the scenes of the most beautiful dresses
Guests are welcomed into the Sophie Hallette showroom located at 3, Rue Saint-Fiacre in Paris. The experience begins with a presentation of Maison Sophie Hallette, its history and anecdotes, followed by a demonstration of how the laces are conceptualized and manufactured. Guests will also have the chance to look through the archives of the company at the large collection of laces as well as the elements that have inspired the designs, the mood boards, and even the photoshoot of the products which will then be used for the marketing.
